Nearby Georgios Beach, at the West coast of the island, you will find Villa Spirena, a luxurious holiday villa on Corfu. This accommodation has everything for the pampered tourist who choose Corfu as a holiday destination. Consider this, a villa for six until ten persons, with all the comforts to celebrate a lovely holiday on this Greek island.
Located at a quiet lane to the beach, the villa is surrounded by a spacious garden with some fruit trees and a sun terrace with a large pool. Do you see yourself, sitting at the big picnic table with your friends or family? A drink at hand of course, while the delicious smell of roasted chicken wings on the BBQ titillate your nostrils, discussing the lovely day you had at the beach, or planning a beautiful walk for the next day. And when you take the first bite of a juicy souvlaki, you will think: this is holiday!
The big advantage of this holiday accommodation is the number of sleeping places, 10 maximum you see. So it is perfect for two families or a group of friends to celebrate holiday on Corfu. With three bedrooms you will have enough privacy and space to not annoy each other. On the other hand you will have all the space you need to have fun together in the spacious pool, hang around the garden or have a barbecue with friends or family.
The location of this holiday villa is all-time. Within a couple of minutes you can walk to the beach of Agios Georgios, one of the finest beaches of Corfu. There you can go to a nice bar or restaurant to stare at the sunset, which is spectacular in Georgios. When the sun is down in the clear blue water of the bay, you can stroll along the cozy boulevard, enjoying your beach holiday to the bone.
With Villa Spirena you are in the middle of a beautiful walking area. Of course you will make a walk daily on your way to the beach. But there is so much more to do than only the beach! Why not discover the beautiful surroundings? In the vicinity of your accommodation are some mountain paths and walking trails with marvelous vistas all over the bay of Georgios and the inland. You will unwind when you experience the great silence that surrounds you.
Afionas is definitely worth a visit. A lovely tiny village, highly situated, with some shops and restaurants, old houses in narrow streets and a beautiful view on Georgios and the Ionian Sea. Yes, Afionas is build on a peninsula and when you cross the village, you will find some benches where you can spoil your eyes with a fantastic sight on Arillas and the Diapontia (a small island group at the Northwest coast of Corfu) on one hand. Turn around and you will see the mighty Georgios Bay and the beach, Pantokrator, Corfu inland and so on. You will be speachless, guaranteed. Take care that you don't drool while enjoying the impressive vistas.
Take our advise, don't lie on the beach every day of your Corfu holiday. Sure, you are free to do that, but it's a waste not to look around and discover some of the beauties of this lovely Greek island. Villa Spirena is the perfect base to go to some of the finest beaches of North Corfu. To name a few: Arillas, Agios Stephanos, Sidari, Roda. Furthermore you can go to the inland, visiting some of the beautifully preserved mountain villages in the area. It is an upgrade of your holiday on Corfu to walk through this antique villages and notice how life goes on here. Watching how simple life can be, you will settle down and relax. And that's one of the main reasons of a holiday on this lovely island, right?
If you are a bit adventurous, it is a must to go to the Twin Bay. You can reach Porto Timonei, the real name of this natural phenomonon, by a rocky, winding pathway. Starting at Dionysos Restaurant, at the outskirts of Afionas, it will cost approximately 30 minutes, but it's worth the effort, believe me. Two tiny unspoiled and quiet beaches, connected to each other by their back. One with a wonderful view on Georgios, the other on the Ionian Sea. Since it is not one of the main beaches of Corfu, you will be only one of a few who will take the effort to walk to it. If you like to have a beach on your own, this is your chance!
