Makis Apartments is actually only one studio. This pleasant two-person studio was completely renovated and redecorated in 2009. It is located in a small-scale apartment complex, which provides permanent accommodation for some local people. The building is part of a small suburban complex in Acharavi consisting of apartments as well as houses. This accommodation is ideal for visitors to Corfu who want to discover how the Greeks live. Maybe you will end up living next door to the waitress who serves your coffee in the taverna by the sea.
There is also the possibility to accommodate a child, the couch, in the dining kitchen area, can be transformed to a bed. However the length is so short that is only appropriate for a child with a maximum age of 10. It would be completely inappropriate for basketball players and other lofty persons! For a third person you have to pay an extra charge of €5 a day.

Private apartment at the Beach

This studio is so close to the beach you can crawl out of bed and take a swim. If you like, of course, it is permissible to walk. Therefore, it is perfect for tourists who would like to lie in the sun all day, scorching on the sand and now and then taking a dive into the crystal clear Ionian Sea.
It sounds crazy, but it is in a very quiet area, in spite of the fact that you are in the neighbourhood of the beach, as well as the lovely main street of Acharavi. It will take only a five-minute walk and you will be in the middle of the crowd, wondering where all these people came from, or maybe you want to do some shopping.

A rich Greek life... at Corfu

At the front of Makis Apartments there is a nice seating area, to the rear is a beautiful garden. One of the pleasures, which you seldom experience in the good old UK, is a daily ritual in Corfu: having breakfast outside. Straight from your bedroom you can enter the garden where you can sit and sip your fresh orange juice and chew your sesame seed coated bread while you decide how you are going to spend the day ahead.
In the garden, you will find a fixed barbecue that you can use if you want to dine at home. As everywhere in Greece, the monstrous BBQ is big enough to roast enough chicken wings, t-bone steaks and hamburgers to feed an entire army. Feel free to invite your friends and neighbours.
This is a very attractive spot to spend your holiday for a little money, ideal for those on a small budget!
