A new friend for Foxy

When I walked towards the place where we saw some action in the weed, I found a beautiful tortoise (Testudinidae, or land-dwelling reptile)! What a fantastic animal, and so special to photograph. Totally opposite of a gazelle, a leopard ord a greyhound you have all the time in the world to makes some nice photos of this prehistoric creature. And that's what I did.
I took our visitor to a more accessible place on our veranda, where he felt safe in an old sombrero. Foxy was a bit curious about our crawling guest, but after some sniffing she introduced herself as dog of the family and decided to be friends.
After the photo session I put the friendly visitor back to the place where I found him.
